Notes for high speed modem users:
SoftArc Online supports V.32 9600 baud, MNP 5 and V.42bis compression. If you have a modem which supports any of these standards you can connect to SoftArc Online at high speed. To make a 9600 baud connection, simply set the baud rate in the setup dialog to 9600 and choose the Hayes® Compatible modem. To make a compression connection (MNP5 or V.42bis) you will require a hardware handshake cable, you must check the Hardware Handshake box and choose either the MNP5 ot the V.42bis modem. If you have non-standard modem then you can edit the modem strings by clicking on the Edit button.
